Jeanne Casaril
Jeanne Casaril is a Paris-based artist born in Garonne, France, in 1947. Eager to immerse herself in the city's rich artistic culture, she moved to Paris in 1968 and opened her first painting studio, which she used not only for her own work but also to provide a collaborative space for other artists. Over the years, she has honed her craft and dedicated herself to teaching oil painting techniques. She has spent the last twenty years tirelessly sharing her knowledge with aspiring painters, demonstrating her deep commitment to fostering creativity in others. For Casaril, painting is much more than a profession: it is a profound passion and a means of expressing her innermost emotions. Inspired by the masters of abstract lyrical art, her large-scale paintings present a chaotic, yet harmonious array of materials skilfully organised to create layers of vibrant colours and dreamlike landscapes.
Throughout her illustrious career, she has explored myriad mediums and styles, demonstrating remarkable adaptability and an eagerness to experiment with her art. Her body of work has consistently evolved, reflecting changes in her artistic approach and her deep connection to personal experiences and the world around her. Casaril's exhibitions have gained recognition and have been showcased in several art venues in Paris, Berlin and New York, attracting the attention of art enthusiasts and critics. Her dedication to her art and fervour for artistic expression continue to inspire many emerging artists. She frequently hosts workshops to encourage the next generation to pursue their own creative paths. Casaril believes that art has the power to transform lives and communities, and she is dedicated to nurturing new talent and sharing her passion for painting.
