Claire Edey  is a distinguished lecturer at the University of Paris-Est Créteil, where she plays a significant role in shaping the academic landscape. She is also affiliated with the esteemed Institute for Research in Management (IRG), a centre for cutting-edge research and studies. Claire specialises in a variety of subjects, including human resources management, organisational behaviour and public management. Her extensive body of work includes notable publications that explore the psychosocial and organisational aspects of occupational health, addressing important issues that affect various industries and workplaces.

Moreover, Claire has cultivated a passion for photography that has been an integral part of her life since her teenage years in Paris in the early 1990s. This artistic pursuit has offered her not only a creative outlet, but also a new perspective on the world around her.

Being self-taught, she started with a Zenith camera and embraced the evolution of technology by equipping herself with digital cameras. This journey has allowed her to explore distant urban and rural landscapes, particularly during her thirtieth year, when she developed a newfound enthusiasm for capturing the beauty and complexities of these environments. Since the summer of 2014, Claire has been observing her surroundings through the lens of six fixed focal lengths of film cameras, artfully adapted to suit digital bodies. This blend of traditional and contemporary techniques enriches her photographic experience, enabling her to create evocative images that capture the essence of the places she visits and the emotions she encounters.

Her work often showcases the interplay between light and shadow, suggesting a story hidden within each frame, inviting viewers to delve deeper into the narrative behind the image. Claire has exhibited her photographs in several cities in France, including Paris, as well as internationally in cities like Oxford and New York. Each exhibition reflects a careful curation of her work, drawing visitors into her world through a series of mesmerizing images that challenge perceptions and provoke thought. Additionally, she continues to expand her portfolio, constantly experimenting with new techniques and themes to keep her creativity flowing. Whether it's exploring the dynamic contrast between urban and rural life or focusing on the subtleties of human interaction, Claire's photographic journey remains an ever-evolving exploration of beauty and meaning.
